Life

is complex and multifaceted.

 

Every human being

is different, is unique,

interesting in their own way.

 

At the same time

there are countless characteristics in which people are alike,

connections that link people.

 

I am interested 

in this diversity and 

in what connects people,

be it

the essence of the human organism, 

the body, the psyche, the soul of an individual, 

everything which makes it function and thrive 

or be it

interpersonal in the encounter or relationship between two people

- on a spiritual or physical level - 

or be it

in larger contexts, the social togetherness.

 

For over 20 years I have been living this interest

as an academic in the field of the Humanities, as a dancer, as a yoga practitioner,

as an ever curious learner and teacher.

 

Everywhere in life

there are and need to be structures that enable life to function and flourish,

there is improvisation that completes it and brings development, and

there are components that remain inaccessible to human understanding and influence,

which must be met with trust and humbleness.

 

Life is a journey of discovery and

yoga a path in it that permeates all these components of life.

 

It corresponds with our human characteristics that

we often only use partial aspects of our human nature.

This can not only significantly limit our well-being, our development and our togetherness, but also lead to physical and psychological impairments in the longer term.

 

The yogic journey of realisation

has a positive effect on

the body, the consciousness (this includes the mind) and the soul and

leads us to a more

more holistic and balanced way of life.

 

The body is only one aspect, but it is

an ideal and significant starting point for this journey.

 

Following sequences of asana and pranayama based on the decades of experience of B.K.S. Iyengar, 

I enable you in my classes to perceive 

new dimensions of your body 

and lead you to a holistic perception of body, consciousness and soul,

which allows you to return to your everyday life 

with new balance, freshness and clarity.
